An airline passenger has been blasted on social media over an “infuriating” act during a flight.
The traveler was on board with his wife when they noticed the traveler in front of them had covered their screen with what appeared to be a seat cover.
“I guess no entertainment for my wife on this flight …” the man said in a Reddit thread called “mildly infuriating”.

The picture shows the passenger sitting in front with her seat cover covering half the screen behind her.
Many were furious by the passenger’s behavior, with one suggesting: “Flip it back over the lady’s head.”
Lack of common courtesy
Another said: “That’s the problem, they did not think about it, all they thought about was themselves and their own personal comfort.”
One wrote: “If they don’t give as ** t about you, then they won’t give as ** t even when you say something.”
While another added: “If these were me I would have taken the picture to post before saying something. The point is the other passenger’s complete lack of awareness and common courtesy. ”
However, many defended the passenger, saying the couple could have “politely” asked the woman to lift the cover up.
“Person there probably doesn’t even realize her hood is blocking a screen. Just politely ask if they can remove it so they can see the screen and likely they’ll remove it and not think twice about it., ”One said.
Another said: “She probably had no idea. Just explain the situation nicely and if the lady is an entitled a ** hole … then escalate. ”
While one added: “People don’t have situational awareness all the time, doesn’t even mean they are rude. This is in 99 per cent of cases solved with just asking politely. ”
Bumped up to business class
Meanwhile, one traveler shared a “similar scenario” after they asked a passenger to move their hair from their screen during a previous trip.
“I asked the person politely if they minded removing their hair from covering the screen. I was ignored and the seat got fully reclined, ”they said.
“Solution was speaking to the flight attendant. She went and spoke to the senior attendant who then dealt with the issue. Not long after, same issue again.
“I was bumped up to business class.”
Earlier this month, a passenger was caught on camera with her legs propped up against a headrest in front of her during a flight.
Paul, from the UK, was on board when he noticed the traveler casually resting his boots on another passenger’s seat.
“The person next to me on my flight,” Paul said on Twitter.
Much to everyone’s surprise, Paul said the passenger seated in front did not react to the “rude” behavior.
“I was expecting the poor sod in front to say something but she was like this for about an hour,” Paul said.
“Amazingly he remained asleep throughout.”
Many were shocked by the woman’s behavior.
“Never ever stick feet or shoes in the close proximity of another person’s head / face. That is a universal sign of disrespect. I don’t know any culture on this planet that would be okay with this, ”one said.
Another said: “Awful, total lack of consideration.”
While one added: “This is setting my passive aggressiveness right off.”
Others shared similar encounters – with one woman saying: “I had someone like her on my last flight.
“She started to sit cross legged. I told her to put her feet down, she had a foot on my seat. She gave me a dirty look and no apology but put her feet down. I get that long flights are uncomfortable but what is with some people, ”she said.
While another said: “Similar behavior towards my four-year-old son by a woman seated behind him on our flight. She perched her feet on his hand rest and they were touching him.
“I asked her politely to take her feet off to which she was reluctant, then I had snap at her.”
Meanwhile some tried to defend the woman’s actions, with one saying: “Is she really harming anyone?”
While another added: “If she’s not touching the guy in front I don’t see the problem.”
However, Paul quickly responded, “Allow me to put my feet on your head and ask me again.”
