Arsenal’s North London Derby ticket sales smash 50,000 milestone

Ticket sales for this Saturday’s North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium have hit a new milestone with more than 50,000 having now been snapped up.

Arsenal confirmed the news this evening via a media update. Tickets have been on-sale for around two months and The Gunners have seen a real surge in demand since England’s success at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.

The fixture is set to be the biggest event in Barclays Women’s Super League history with the competition’s previous record attendance of 38,262 expected to be smashed. That all-time high was also recorded in a North London Derby, the November 2019 edition at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a game that Arsenal won 2-0 thanks to second half goals from Kim Little and Vivianne Miedema.

With the North London Derby opening this weekend’s round of fixtures in the Barclays Women’s Super League, there is the added incentive that the winners will end Saturday top of the table. Arsenal defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 4-0 in their opening game at the LV Bet Stadium in Boreham Wood last weekend while Spurs won 2-1 at relegation favorites Leicester City.

Tickets for the North London Derby will remain on-sale in the lead up to Saturday’s game. You can purchase yours by clicking here.
