Bartley Green house on the market for a bargain price – but it has mold, bare floors and an overgrown garden

A three-bedroom semi-detached home is up for auction – giving someone the opportunity to own a property for a potentially incredible price. The house, at 62 Burrington Road, Bartley Green, has been listed on Rightmove.

With a guide price of just £ 30,000, it seems like a bargain. But the property will almost certainly need investment.

Photos posted by property firm show peeling wallpaper exposing mold, bare floors and a scabby garden. The bathroom also leaves something to be desired – you can view the images in the picture gallery below.

The listing reads: “For sale by public auction on May 19 2022 starting at 09:00 AM – Please note that the auction will be live-streamed via our website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only. You must pre-register to bid no later than 12 noon on Wednesday May 18. “

According to the advert, the ground floor has a porch, hall, reception room and kitchen. Upstairs, buyers will find the landing, three bedrooms, a bathroom and a “seperate” water closet.

There are also front and rear gardens, driveway parking and a side garage. “The property benefits from having a gas fired central heating system and UPVC double glazing,” the listing adds.

It then goes on to feature an Auctioneer’s Note and states: “All properties are sold subject to a reserve price which is the minimum price the seller is willing to accept and is confidential between the seller and the auctioneer. The guide price is only an indication as to where the reserve is currently set and not necessarily the auctioneer’s expectation of what it will sell for. “
