Prepare flavored salts

Jamaican salt and chipotle

Ingredients

100 g. of sea salt
50 g. of dehydrated jamaica flower
1 piece of dried chipotle chili

Preparation

1. Remove the peduncle and seeds from the chipotle chilies.
2. In a blender, add the salt, jamaica flower and chipotle, liquefy at short intervals to spray.
3. Remove from the blender once the desired degree of grinding has been achieved. You can also grind the ingredients in a grinder or mortar.
4. Store the salt in a container with a lid and keep it in a cool, dry place.
You can use it to cook fish or vegetables, as a base for vinaigrettes, sprinkle it on fresh fruit or use it to frost your cocktails, its acidity and spicy touch will take your food to another level.

Rosemary and orange salt

Ingredients

100 g. of sea salt
25 g. of dehydrated rosemary
1 piece of orange

Preparation

1. Wash and dry the orange very well, with the help of a grater remove the outer layer of the peel being careful not to reach the white part. Reserve the zest.
2. In a blender, add salt, rosemary and orange zest. Blend at short intervals until the desired consistency is achieved.
3. Pass the salt to a plate or tray and spread it out to dry, as the grating can create moisture.
4. Once dry, store the salt in a container with a lid and keep it in a cool, dry place.

We recommend using it to season chicken or fish, it also goes very well with cooked vegetables and gives a special touch to drinks prepared with mezcal.

Salt with pepper and tree chili

2 pieces of dried tree chili

Preparation

This salt is ideal for marinating beef or pork, if you want to add it to chicken or fish we recommend cooking them on charcoal, this will give it a depth of flavor worthy of any great restaurant.
